Trayce Jackson-Davis Commits

Center Grove's Trayce Jackson-Davis announced on Twitter that he has committed to Indiana University.

The news of the commitment comes after the early signing period, but Jackson-Davis did sign during the early period, per the Indiana University basketball Twitter account. Jackson-Davis was believed to be leaning towards a commitment to Indiana for quite some time, but UCLA and Michigan State also made his final list of schools. He also took an official visit to Iowa before cutting them from contention.

With Keion Brooks now at La Lumiere, Jackson-Davis is the heavy favorite to win Mr. Basketball. He has had a stellar high school career, and his senior year promises to be dominant. The lefty forward is a great vertical athlete that finishes around the paint with tremendous efficiency. He has developed the ability to drive hard to his left hand from the elbow area which has been unstoppable at this level.

The 6-foot-9 Jackson-Davis will also give Indiana an athletic rim protector that they have been missing for many years. He'll be able to wipe away defensive mistakes made by his teammates with his leaping ability and timing. He averaged two blocks per game on the Nike EYBL heading into his final high school season. That's a good indication of his future college production. He also averaged 17 points and seven rebounds per game in the league.

Jackson-Davis joins Armaan Franklin in Indiana's 2019 class. Archie Miller said he wanted to recruit inside to out when he took over the job. With Romeo Langford, Robert Phinisee, and Damezi Anderson last year and Jackson-Davis and Franklin this season, Miller is doing that. The Hoosiers are still working to receive a commitment from Keion Brooks. Indiana would have a top-rated recruiting class if it lands Brooks as well.

Trayce Jackson-Davis' commitment is a huge recruiting victory for Archie Miller and Indiana.
