Columbia City forward Brachen Hazen (2016) committed to Arkansas on Tuesday evening. Hazen was named to the Indiana All-Star team a couple of weeks ago. Here's more on Hazen's commitment.
Brachen Hazen signed with the University of Central Florida in the fall. UCF head coach was fired, and Hazen was let out of his letter of intent. That made him an attractive recruit during the spring period. He took an official visit to Arkansas before his commitment. That visit led to Hazen's decision.
"The great people and facilities of Arkansas really stood out," said Brachen Hazen. "I really think that I'll thrive here."
Vanderbilt, Purdue and Ball State were in the mix after Hazen received his release from Central Florida.
Hazen averaged 16 points and nine rebounds per game for Columbia City this season.
