IUPUI was in the midst of a coaching search when the pandemic hit. The Indiana University network placed a hiring freeze on all institutions as IUPUI's search was winding down. After a few months in a stall pattern, IUPUI has decided to give interim coach Byron Rimm another season at the helm. He was named the interim coach in August of 2019. (Photo via IUPUIJags.com)

Without spring or summer evaluation periods, schools still have to move forward with recruiting. In the last few days, Purdue has handed out a handful of 2022 offers. Indiana Basketball Source takes a look at those offers. (Pictured: Tae Davis from last spring)
Last summer, Gary West Side's Jalen Washington was the Purdue's first in-state 2022 offer. He was sidelined the entire high school season with an ACL tear. He remains the top prospect in the state as he has NBA potential. Prior to the pandemic, Washington was not planning on playing club basketball this season. He's only seven months removed from the tear.
2021 Bloomington South guard Connor Hickman has continued to add to his offer list this spring. Indiana Basketball Source watched eight BHSS games this high school season to get a feel for Hickman's game and college projection.
When the IHSAA postseason was canceled, 2021 forward Kooper Jacobi was helping Silver Creek on its journey for a second straight 3A state title. Jacobi was second on the team in scoring and rebounding to Trey Kaufman. Indiana Basketball Source takes a deep dive into Jacobi's game and college projection.
During his junior year, Jacobi averaged 17.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game for the 25-2 Dragons. The Silver Creek forward is a career 80 percent free throw shooter. Despite that, he wasn't a three-point shooter until this year. As a sophomore, he was only 12-28 from deep in 28 games. Last summer, Jacobi added arch to his outside shot, and he became a threat this season. He still needs time and space, but Jacobi can make threes now. His shot still needs to be more fluid and consistent, but it has progressed well in the last 12 months.
